Posted on: 10 September 2020

There are a number of side effects of pregnancy. Some are good, while others could be harmful to your health and the health of your baby if you aren't careful. Talking to your obstetrician about these side effects, and what else to expect throughout your pregnancy, as well as how to deal with these side effects is important. Read on for some of these pregnancy side effects and what you can do about them.

Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is one of the most common side effects of pregnancy, although there are some that don't experience this side effect at all. If you are experiencing this side effect, then you most likely know that it doesn't just affect you in the morning, but it can affect you throughout your entire day. If you have morning sickness all day long, it can make going to work difficult, taking care of your other children difficult, and doing just about anything difficult. If you aren't able to eat or keep anything down, it can be dangerous to your unborn baby and to you as well. To help prevent other issues, be sure to eat crackers or something to help keep the nausea at bay. Try to eat smaller meals throughout the day that are more on the bland side to prevent nausea as well. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day can also help ease morning sickness.

Tiredness

Tiredness and exhaustion is a major side effect of pregnancy as well. If you are tired all of the time, you can easily begin to get into the habit of just laying around all the time. This isn't going to be good for your baby or for you. You will need your strength when you go to give birth and you'll also need it after your baby is born. Get up and go for walks, even if they are short walks, and you aren't able to walk too quickly. You'll build up stamina and it can help reverse your tiredness. Eating a healthy diet can also help prevent this tiredness. Don't push yourself too much though so you don't put too much stress on your baby.

These are just a few of the side effects of pregnancy that you may experience. There are a number of others that you may encounter as well. Curb these side effects by talking to your medical professional about their obstetric solutions and ways to help deal with the side effects.
